The BlancOne teeth whitening lamp uses an LED light source that emits bright blue light and has specific wavelengths between 430-490 nm. As a result of this reaction, light energy particles, or photons, are released, which accelerate the temperature rise in the gel, thus accelerating the peroxide decomposition process. In addition, the gel contains catalysts, which in turn synthesize energy, after which a chain reaction of peroxide decomposition is triggered at hyperspeed. Having previously tried various home whitening systems – gels, patches, and photo-bleaching – I was initially quite skeptical. Since I’m a big coffee drinker and, I must admit, also a smoker, the color of my teeth has always been rather yellowish and dull.
